scope:
This specification covers corrosion-resisting steel bars for naval steam turbine parts and quality assurance provisions for finished turbine blades.
Bars shall be of the following classes and conditions, as specified (see 6.2).
Class 403
Condition AN Annealed
Condition HT Heat-treated
Class 405
Condition AN - Annealed
Class 410
Condition AN - Annealed
Condition HT - Heat-treated
Class 422
Condition AN - Annealed (forging stock only)
