This Standard relates to tubular tape woven from a polyester staple and cotton fibre blend which is used as a component in ammunition and specifies the material, aethods of test and other requirements.
The designation 'Type QX' indicates that the material is of a quality suitable for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, its compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established, and Design Authorities should therefore seek advice from:
