scope:
The Transcribed Weather Broadcast Equipment (TWEBE) is specified herein. The TWEBE will be primarily used in flight-service stations. It will be used to record and reproduce weather messages for use on the VHF omnidirectional range (VOR), low medium frequency broadcast facilities (L/MF), and pilot's automatic telephone weather answering service (PATWAS). The service to pilots and other interested parties may be extended to more than one output by use of barge-in logic as defined herein.
