scope:
Purpose. This regulation prescribes policies, responsibilities, and procedures to assign, attach, detail, remove, or transfer U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) soldiers.
Applicability. This regulation applies to United States Army Reserve soldiers. It also applies to the Army National Guard as specified in chapter 5. This regulation does not apply to the Active Army.
