Purpose

The purpose of this test is to measure the amplitude and duration of transients appearing on power lines caused by the normal operation of the EUT and also as a result of switching on and off the power supply to the EUT. These transient emissions may couple via conduction and radiation from the power lines to other potentially susceptible equipments in the actual installation.
