This specification relates to the carbon dioxide charge to be used in conjunction with the following fire extinguisher which is described in Def Stan 42-26:
Extinguisher, Fire, Foam, 2 gallon (9 litre ) capacity NATO Stock No 4210-99-139-2347.
The charge, carbon dioxide comprises, cylinder, compressed gas NATO Stock No to be allocated, filled with 74 grams of technical quality carbon dioxide gas conforming to BS 4105: type 1.
