scope:

PURPOSE

This manual proposes to accomplish three practical objectives:

(a) To develop minimum standards for fabrication and installation of plastic duct which can be used as a reference for contract operations.

(b) To develop a source of reference data for design engineers, industrial engineering departments, and pollution control authorities.

(c) To provide for the ventilation and air conditioning industry a responsible source of documentation establishing an accurate reference for plastics as they apply to the sheet metal industry and, specifically, the air-handling systems.
