This Standard specifies the requirements for graphited jointing compoung resistant to petrol, oil and heat and suitable for making joints between metal surfaces. It is suitable for use under all operational temperatures in internal combustion engines, but it is not intended to take the place of joints or gaskets where these are specified as a design requirement.
