1. The aim of this agreement is to standardize stability test procedures for propellants stabilized singly with diphenylamine (DPA) or ethyl centralite (EC) and those stabilized with a mixture of both. The procedures were developed to facilitate cross procurement and provide a means by which countries can satisfy themselves that propellants received from abroad will remain chemically stable for a ambient storage conditions for a minimum of five (5) years or of ten (10) years according to its condition as determined by the test.
2. This method is not applicable to the analysis of double base propellants containing diphenylamine.
3. This agreement in intended for use by the NATO Armed Forces.
