scope:

This specification covers floor mounted, self-contained electric motor driven radial drilling machines suitable for general purpose drilling, tapping, boring, facing and reaming operations on large size or heavy workpieces with equipment and accessories specified herein. The requirements set forth in this specification and the completed ordering data (see paragraph 6.2), establishes the Government's minimum requirements for each procurement.

The machines covered by this specification are of the plain radial arm type and are of the following sizes. The size furnished shall be as specified (see 6.2).
