scope:
The object of the test is to assess the corrosive effect on contacts and connections of convenient means intended to simulate a long exposure to atmospheres polluted with sulphur combustion products. This test is not suitable as a general corrosion test; i.e. as a means to predict the behaviour of connections in industrial atmospheres. Not applicable to contacts consisting of silver and some of its alloys.
