This specification covers air ejector assemblies to serve surface condensers for Naval shipboard application.
Air ejector assemblies shall be of the following types and classes, as specified (see 6.2 and 6.6).
Type I - For service of main, ship's service, or other auxiliary surface condensers. Type II - For service of distilling unit condensers (surface ship and submarine non-submergence pressure applications). Class 1 - Basically 70-30 copper-nickel on seawater side. Class 2 - Basically 90-10 copper-nickel on seawater side. Class 3 - Basically titanium tubes, tube sheets, and shell internals. Type III - For service of condensers in a heating drain system or turbine gland leakoff system.
