PURPOSE. This document establishes contralized control over the use of ionizing radiation sources to ensure that exposure is adequately controlled to prevent adverse effects on the health and safety of employees.

APPLICABILITY. This Directive is applicable to all onsite Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) operations, including contractor operations the use of radioactive material of radiation-producing devices.
