This part of Standard specifies the requirements necessary for the Qualification Approval of Modular Terminal Blocks, Rail Mounted, for Use in Enclosures- Sectional Specification, supported by mounting rails qualified to BS 5584, BS 5825 and BS 6273, for Ministry of Defence use. It is to be used in conjunction with the Generic and appropriate Defence Standard Detail specification.
It applies to terminal blocks with screw or screwless type terminal intended to connect round copper-conductors with or without special preparation, having a cross-sectional area of 0.2 mm2 to 2.5 mm2, into circuits of a maximum distribution voltage not exceeding 600 vrms up to 60 HZ or 240 V dc.
