scope:

This specification covers requirements for the procurement of five types and 14 part numbers of an aircraft arresting hookpoint.

The hookpoints are classified in the types and part numbers listed in Table I, as specified (see 3.1.1 and 6.2.1). Each type of hookpoint has a similar configuration and will undergo a similar manufacturing process.

intended Use:

The hookpoints covered by this specification are intended to be used in the arresting of aircraft, and are component parts of the arresting hook installation.
