This Standard relates to a lithographic varnish, Type QX for use in the manufacture of pyrotechnic and incendiary compositions.
The designation 'Type QX' indicates that the material is of a quality suitable for application where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, its compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established and Design Authorities should seek advice on particular applications from the Director, Propellants, Explosives and Rocket Motor Establishment, Waltham Abbey.
