scope:
a. This instruction applies to Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters, (NAVAIRHQ), NAVAIR field activities, inventory control points, and other NAVAIR supporting activities involved in the acquisition of SE end items and its logistic support for NAVAIR weapon systems utilizing the SERD process.
b. NAVAIR weapon systems include new or modified aircraft, missiles, airborne subsystems, targets, range instrumentation, mine countermeasures, free fall weapons, unmanned air vehicles, and remote piloted vehicles.
