scope:

This specification covers boltless, single and multiple opening, steel and galvanized steel pallet storage racks less than 25 feet (300 inches) in height for inside warehouse installation.

The storage racks shall be one type, and of the following styles and sizes as specified (see 6.2):

Style A - 54-inch wide opening for one 40- by 48-inch pallet. Rated shelf capacity of 3,500 pounds.

Style B - 108-inch wide opening for two 40- by 48-inch pallets, positioned side by side. Rated shelf capacity of 6,000 pounds.

Size 1 upright frame - 120 inches high

Size 2 upright frame - 138 inches high

Size 3 upright frame - 144 inches high

Size 4 upright frame - 168 inches high

Size 5 upright frame - 198 inches high

Size 6 upright frame - 246 inches high

Size 7 upright frame - 294 inches high

A specification-based part number for items classified in this section shall be constructed as shown in 6.5.
