This instruction applies to all NAVAIR sites, NAVAIR Headquarters, Business Units, Naval Aviation Program Executive Offices (Air Anti-Submarine Warfare, Assault, and Special Mission Programs, PEO(A); Tactical Aircraft Programs, PEO(T); Strike Weapons and Unmanned Aviation, PEO (W)), and tenant organizations.

To establish standard policy and guidelines regarding Web sites, Web applications and Web servers in compliance with Federal, Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DON) Information Technology (IT) mandates. Consistent policy, standards and guidelines will also govern the proliferation of Web sites and Web serves hosted inside and outside the NAVAIR firewall, which create potential Information Assurance and Security violations and vulnerabilities.
