This specification establishes the requirements for the design, development, construction, performance, testing, system integration, and installation of a Mosaic Tracking Direct Access Radar Channel (MDARC) system. The MDARC system shall be used to perform air traffic and mission control operations at the R-2508 restricted airspace complex located in Southern California. The MDARC system shall be designed to accommodate variations in initialization data and equipment configurations at the different sites within the boundaries of the R-2508 complex. The primary functions of the MDARC system shall include the following tasks:

a. The verification and processing of messages entered by radar controllers or the Systems Engineer.

b. The printing or display of messages in response to radar controller or Systems Engineer requests.

c. The processing and display of radar data.

d. The automatic tracking of targets.

e. The performance of quality control functions that continuously evaluate the validity and reliability of the various components of the MDARC system.
