This. specification relates to a hot curing epoxide type of adhesive supplied as a solution in acetone. It is suitable for use where strong metal-to-metal joints are required.
The designation 'Type QX' applies to the cured adhesive, and indicates its suitability for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established, and Design Authorities should seek advice from the Director; Explosives Research and Development Establishment, Waltham Abbey, Essex, on particular applications.
