This handbook contains distress definitions and measurement methods for determining the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) of asphalt surfaced airfields. This handbook is based on the references in paragraph 1.7. with the addition of deduct curves for each type of distress. New severity level definitions have been included for the porous friction course, weathering, and raveling distress. AF Records Disposition. Ensure that all records created by this handbook are maintained and disposed of IAW AFMAN 37-139, "Records Disposition Schedule."
