Note: Pipe made to this Standard should not be used in the production of fabricated fittings, due to the lack of field data.

This Standard describes requirements and test methods for materials, dimensions, quality of work, pipe stiffness, quality control, joining systems, and marking for SDR 28, 35, and 41 multilayer PVC sewer pipe (PSM type).

Note: Industrial waste disposal lines should be installed only with specific approval of the regulatory authority, since chemicals not commonly found in drains and sewers and temperatures in excess of 60°C (140°F) may be encountered.

The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard The values given in parentheses are for information only.

Note: Nominal pipe is indicated by an NPS designation, and actual dimensions are given in millimeters For example, a pipe of NPS-10 size will be nominally 10 in in diameter.

Pipe made to this Standard is designed to be used with PVC fittings meeting the requirements of CSA Standard B182.1 or B182.2.
