The designation Type QX indicates that these mixes are suitable for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement.
However, compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established and Design Authorities should seek advice on particular applications from the Director, Propellants, Explosives and Rocket Motor Establishment, Waltham Abbey, Essex.
