scope:
This Standard specifies an atomic absorption spectrometric method for the determination of the aluminium content in iron and steel, which is used for the determination of acid-soluble aluminium. The method is applicable to acid-soluble aluminium contents (mass fraction) in carbon steel and low alloy steel of 0.005% or over up to and including 0.10 %.
