scope:
This European Standard specifies safety requirements for office storage furniture. It should be understood that fulfilling the specified requirements does not ensure that failure will not occur as a result of habitual misuse or after an excessively long period of service. Safety depending on structure of the building is not included e.g: the strength of wall hanging cabinets includes only the cabinet and its parts. The wall and wall attachment are not included. Assessment of ageing is not included.
