PURPOSE
The purpose of this John C. Stennis Space Center (SSC) standard (SSTD) is to set forth requirements for specified surface preparation and finish painting of fabricated steel structures to control corrosion; and to instruct Synergy-Achieving Consolidated Operations and Maintenance (SACOM) maintenance painters at SSC in preparing and repainting these structures. All coatings at SSC shall adhere to NASA-STD-5008.
APPLICABILITY
This SSTD shall apply to all contractors and subcontractors.
