Purpose.
To prescribe regulations governing the procurement and appointment of limited duty officers (LDO) and chief warrant officers (CWO) for duty in the Navy Reserve, per references (a) and (b). Major changes include modification to time in qualifying service allowed for applicants and expanded guidance for commanding officer (CO) endorsements for appointments.
