The term Escalator also includes Passenger Conveyor unless otherwise stated.

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is to define the requirements for the provision of escalators and passenger conveyors on the London Underground System.

Note: Section 3 of this standard is structured to align with BS EN 115 to assist readership and understanding.
