This standard details the performance requirements for a polymer laminate material with a woven (or other suitable material) backing on one side and release paper on the other.

After removal of the release paper these materials shall have satisfactory pressure sensitive tack to substrates like cold rolled steel, electro galvanized, and hot dip galvanized steel contaminated with production processing oils.

These types of materials shall be utilized for localized reinforcement, or stiffening, of body panels in body shop and shall withstand production phosphatizing, ELPO, primer/surfacer and topcoat bake operations exhibiting temperatures up to +205 °C.
