Scope and application

These Construction Rules apply to electrical and electronic equipment on seagoing ships, classified by Germanischer Lloyd (GL).

Versions deviating from the Construction Rules may be approved if they have been tested for suitability and accepted as equivalent by GL.

GL reserve the right to specify additional requirements to the Construction Rules where these are related to new systems or installations or where they are necessary because of new knowledge or operating experience.

Deviations from the Construction Rules may be approved where there are special reasons.
