This standard describes and assesses processes whereby the emission of fibrous dusts can be prevented or reduced. It quotes the emission values that are achievable based on the current state of technology and the measurement techniques that are to be employed.
This standard deals with fibrous dusts which may be released when handling the products described in subsequent parts.
The subsequent parts apply only in conjunction with this standard. This standard does not apply to the handling of materials containing asbestos.
