Sachmerkmale für Verzahnungsdaten für das Werkstück sind in DIN 4000-140 festgelegt.

Alle Halbschnittdarstellungen der Wälzfräser sind so dargestellt, dass die Spanfläche (oben) auf den Betrachter zukommt (Top-coming).
