scope:

The standard VDI/BV-BS 6206 Part 2 is applicable to buildings constructed from room units with a planned duration of use of five years or less. The limitation of the duration of use of the buildings has its origin in the Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV). This standard only applies in conjunction with VDI/BV-BS 6206 Part 1.

The size of the buildings is variable, ranging from one room unit to buildings consisting of several room units which can be arranged over several storeys. This standard supplements the general regulations by specifying the transport and assembly/ disassembly of the room units for such buildings.

As far as transport is concerned, this standard exclusively addresses transport by lorry. Transport by sea, rail and air is outside the scope of this standard.
