Die vorliegende Norm enthält

- eine Betriebs-Merkmalleiste (BML) für die Beschreibung der Betriebsparameter und die Zusammenfassung der Anforderungen für ein Druckmessgerät sowie

- Geräte-Merkmalleisten (GML) für die Beschreibung verschiedener Typen von Druckmessgeräten.

Die Strukturen der Betriebs- und der Geräte-Merkmalleiste entsprechen den in IEC 61987-11 definierten allgemeinen Strukturen und stimmen mit den in IEC 61987-10 definierten Grundsätzen für den Aufbau der Merkmalleisten überein.

Von der Betriebs-Merkmalleiste abweichende Aspekte, die für die in Teil 10 beschriebenen verschiedenen Prozesse für den elektronischen Datenaustausch erforderlich sind, werden in IEC 61987-921) veröffentlicht.

Bibliotheken von Merkmalen und Blöcken, die in den betreffenden Merkmalleiste (ML) verwendet werden, sind in den Anhängen C und D aufgeführt.
