This Standard applies to electric hot tubs/spas that are factory-built, self-contained packaged units supplied with equipment for heating and circulating water.

These units are connected to an electrical supply circuit of 250 V or less (i.e., 125 V maximum to ground). This Standard specifies test procedures, test conditions, and performance requirements for standby energy performance and markings of electric hot tubs/spas. This Standard does not include exercise or swim spas.
