This Standard Practice covers the performance, design, and installation requirements of fabricated tapping sleeves used in water and sewage systems.

This Standard Practice covers tapping sleeves NPS 4 through NPS 24 (DN 100 through DN 600) that have flanged outlet branch connections with NPS 2 through NPS 12 (DN 50 through DN 300).

PURPOSE

To provide information for standardization of fabricated tapping sleeves, typically used with tapping valves to make connections to existing mains without interruption of service
