Purpose. This ETL provides guidance for design and construction of Air Force small arms ranges, and applies to both new construction and major renovations. It replaces Chapter 3 of AFMAN 36-2227V1, Combat Arms Training and Maintenance (CATM) Training Management and Range Operations.
