scope:
This standard covers the pavement of roads of any type, including paved open spaces, airfields, courtyards, railway platforms and track systems, with roadbases and wearing courses in road construction and frost protection and blankets for track systems.
This standard does not deal with soil strengthening or amelioration, nor with the placing of track ballast (see DIN 18325).
DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18315 shall take precedence.
