scope:
This standard specifies requirements relating to the laying of flooring supplied in rolls or as sheets made from linoleum, PVC, rubber, textiles or cork, and to the laying of flooring made of multilayer elements.
This standard does not cover the laying of the following types of flooring:
- natural stone (see DIN 18332),
- cast stone (see DIN 18333),
- tiles (see DIN 18352),
- screed (see DIN 18353),
- asphalt (see DIN 18354),
- parquet flooring (see DIN 18356),
- wood block flooring (see DIN 18367).
DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18365 shall take precedence.
