This module of NR/L2/OHS/019 covers the planning and implementation process relating to incident response.

This module only applies for unforeseeable events which cannot be pre-planned where:

a) the planning processes in NR/L2/OHS/019 modules 02, 03 or 04 cannot be applied;

b) an incident number has been generated by Route/Fault Control; or

c) situations where a Rail Incident Officer (RIO) or pilotman is appointed for an emergency or failure.

This module applies to responsible managers, planners, persons in charge and anyone involved in the planning and working during incident response.

It does not apply to events that can be pre-planned using the processes detailed in NR/L2/OHS/019 and modules 02, 03 and 04.

NOTE: Normal planning processes apply where work is foreseeable and a SWP can be produced.
