This supplement to Technical Code DVS 2207-5 applies to the testing and assessment of PE-HD welded joints on factory made, thermal insulated and directly buried pipes for district heating networks laid directly underground in accordance with AGFW FW 401 and EN standards 253, 448, 488, 489, 13941, 15632 and 15698.
The welding processes, requirements for companies, specialist personnel, machines, equipment and tools, welding procedure tests, documentation and marking and the scope of testing are dealt with in Technical Code DVS 2207-5.
Supplement 1 applies to plug welding for sealing the foam openings.
