scope:
This standard deals with the safety of electric motor-operated appliances primarily designed for industrial and commercial use, with og without attachments, including appliances incorporating wet and/or dry suction, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances. Such appliances may be used for floor polishing (including waxing and buffing) scrubbing and grinding, scarifying and carpet shampooing.
