scope:
This document defines the conditions and test procedures to conduct a vehicle interior lighting review. The interior lighting review is used to measure light intensity of the interior lamp assemblies. This includes but is not limited to the following:
Task Lighting: reading lamps, vanity lamps, glove box lamp, trunk lamps, underhood lamps, and cargo lamps
Entry Lighting: courtesy lamps, footwell lamps, and door entry/exit lamps
Ambient Lighting: low intensity LED lamps
Note: Nothing in this standard supersedes applicable laws and regulations.
Note: In the event of conflict between the English and domestic language, the English language shall take precedence.
Purpose.
To thoroughly define the interior lighting review test procedure.
Note: For procedures used to validate regulatory requirements, the following paragraph(s) are mandatory:
