AIM
The aim of this NATO standardization recommendation (STANREC) is to be used as a reference for the selection of lubricants and materials which have been established safe for use in oxygen systems and oxygen rich environments.
Guidelines are provided to assess the potential hazards associated with the use of materials and lubricants used in oxygen rich environments. Limitations of test methods and precautionary safeguards to ensure safety of operation are discussed. Also covered are lists of products used by various NATO countries.
