scope:
This Standard specifies the methods of measurement for light source colour for general lighting service by the XYZ colorimetric system based on 2-degree field of view 1) (hereafter referred to as XYZ colorimetric system), and the XlOYlOZlO colorimetric system based on 10-degree field of view 2) (hereafter referred to as XlOYlOZlO colorimetric system).
The XYZ colorimetric system and XlOYlOZlO colorimetric system are applicable, respectively when correlation with visual colour matching of fields of angular subtense 10 to 40 or greater than 40 at the eye of the observer is desired.
Notes 1) The colorimetric system recommended by the Commission International de l'Eclairage (CIE) in 1931. It is also called CIE 1931.
2) The colorimetric system recommended by CIE in 1964. It is also called CIE 1964.
