Purpose. To validate the performance of the vehicle defroster system to defrost the interior surface of the windshield when influenced by snow ingestion with and without a heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) filler (if part of the originally equipped HVAC system). See Figure 1 in 1.3

Applicability. For all passenger vehicle defroster systems with and without filter(s)
