Diese Technische Spezifikation gilt für in ISO 10218-1 und ISO 10218-2 beschriebene Industrierobotersysteme. Sie gilt nicht für Roboter außerhalb des industriellen Bereichs, obwohl die dargestellten Sicherheitsgrundsätze für andere Bereiche der Robotik nützlich sein können.
