ICS Code (Buildings in general): 91.040.01
scope:

This standard is applicable to water based embedded surface heating and cooling systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. The methods apply to systems integrated into the wall, floor or ceiling construction with an open air gap. But this is not applicable to the panel system without open air gap, which is integrated with the building structure. This standard specifies the design, test conditions and methods for the determination of the cooling and heating capacity and control of radiant heating and cooling panels with an open air gap. This standard applies to all types of prefabricated radiant panels that are part of the room periphery such as ceiling, walls and floor. This standard does not cover panels embedded into ceiling, wall or floor structures and hybrid (combined thermal radiation and forced-convection) ceiling panels. The present Part 1 of this standard specifies the definition, symbols, comfort criteria, technical specifications and requirements of radiant panels.
