scope:

This Standard specifies electrodynamic horn type loudspeakers, which are used for general voice amplifiers in telecommunications' equipment (hereafter referred to as loudspeakers). This Standard is not applicable to loudspeakers employing cone speakers as the driver.

NOTE: Loudspeaker means equipment composed of horn and drive unit (hereafter referred to as unit). Loudspeakers integrated into one body are called combination type, and loudspeakers whose horn and units are separable are called separate type.
